A large organization at Rajeev’s company was struggling to reach its completion goal of required training courses taken by their employees. Employees felt overwhelmed at the technicality of the courses and were lost without guidance. Support study sessions were offered but attendance was low.

97% of required courses completed

Results

The success of the community is centered around its structure, commonality, and enthusiasm. Each course was designated a ‘champion’ to oversee their group and become a mentor. Members of the community were encouraged to share their achievements and celebrate the success of others. Asking questions and reaching out for guidance was encouraged and often resulted in fast, meaningful, and trusted solutions to problems.

Not only were course attendance and completion rates surpassing goals, but the community opened the door to many more possibilities outside of the original scope. The community grew beyond the required learning paths and started providing a variety of optional courses and learning opportunities each month.

Learning resources leveraged different communication mediums to accommodate different styles of learning. An internal podcast was created to expand the dynamic range of the brand and give the community a richer personality. Experts were able to share insights and knowledge. Leaders were able to articulate the vision of the organization and discuss crucial topics centered around, and supported by, technical learning.

Because of the success and level of engagement in the community, other organizations asked to join, adding welcomed contributions and new dimensions to the employee experience.

This community experience was reproduced around the globe and leveraged by other organizations, helping them to create more engaging experiences and establish a foundational peer-to-peer learning co-operative.

“I am so pleased to pass my certification but what I really want to say is THANK YOU to this incredible community. Finding not only resources and tips, but also an amazing group going through the same situation has made this feel like you’re not alone in getting these exams done regardless of experiences and challenges. Thank you so much for the incredible support.”
